    AN ORIGINAL AND RARE US ARMY REGULATION 1881 PATTERN DRESS HELMET FOR AN ENLISTED MAN ELECTRICIAN IN THE ARTILLERY BRANCH OF SERVICE.
    THIS HELMET IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND IS CORRECT AND ORIGINAL WITH THE PROPER DEVICES.
    THIS IS ALSO A SELDOM FOUND LARGE SIZE FOR THE DAYS AT 7 1/8 AS SHOWN ON THE ISSUE TAG
    THE HELMET WAS MANUFACTURED BY HORSTMANN IN PHILADELPHIA
    AND IS SO MARKED INSIDE THE SWEATBAND BUT IS VERY LIGHT. THE MANUFACTURE DATE IS NOT LEGIBLE. THE LEATHER BAND IS ALSO STAMPED WITH US GOVERNMENT QUARTER MASTER DEPOT PHILADELPHIA. .
    THE FELT IS SUPERB AND THE HELMET HAS GREAT SHAPE. THE CHIN STRAP IS IN FINE CONDITION.
    THE INSIDE SWEAT BAND IS PRESENT FIRMLY ATTACHED WITH THE SIZE TAG OF 7 AND 1/8
