Vintage Enamel & Silverplate Tazza Dish Black / Red Towle Silversmiths.... Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class. Vintage circa 1955. 7 5/8" diameter at rim, 1.5" H. Precious enamel top surface covered first with black enamel then dark marion red enamel center. Black lines eminate from the center like curvy sun rays to the black border . Rim, bottom, and foot are silver plated. Tazza dish ( shallow footed dish) made by Towle Silversmiths of Newburyport Massachusetts. This dish is shown as a set in Jewel Stern's publication, Modernism in American Silver, 20th Century Design, page 273. Maker's mark under foot along with original paper label. This Tazza dish has two (2) scratches on the top surface. One is more apparent than the other. See pics. Typical value 5  -350 a piece. Very beautifully made. I accept most offers.
